WELCOME TO TOTAL AWARENESS

Integrative and Empowering Health Service

Total Awareness was established in 2020 by Anita Blackwell (M.Couns, B.Couns,) to provide professional counselling, supervision and educational services.
Navigating through life can be challenging, affecting our emotional, psychological and physical well-being. Some challenges we bounce back from, while others we need to seek professional guidance and support.
Total Awareness specialises in guiding people on their life journey forward, through individual and group support. A sense of well-being can be restored through accepting and acknowledging our past, being mindful of the present and integrating new changes into the future.

Three key areas of Awareness

Self-Awareness

Self-Awareness integrates both our internal and external worlds allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of what makes us who we are – not just our strengths and weaknesses, but also what triggers our emotions and behaviours and what our core values are.

As we mature and have more experiences, we change over time, so Self-Awareness also creates the capacity to expand our intimate knowledge of ourselves. It enables us to avoid staying stuck on one side of ourselves and to see where we are, where we have come from, and where we are going as individuals in our relationships.

Relational-Awareness

Relational-Awareness provides the skills individuals need to gain more effective personal and professional relationships.

Knowing where our energy and focus are interpersonally, be it moving forward or pulling back, can create healthy boundaries and closer connections.

Relational-Awareness is also being mindful of the constant oscillating between the need to safely connect to another and the need to feel safe within ourselves.

Social-Awareness

Social-Awareness allows us to consider others in society, giving us the skills to emotionally understand and empathise with them. It is also the ability to be aware of and know yourself in various social settings, and understand how and why you react to various situations.

Being social creatures and living in a world where relationships play a large part in society, having greater Social-Awareness can allow us to relate in a more positive and meaningful way.
